Wild horses are an indelible and integral part of the history of our nation. Their resilient genes are ingrained in many domestic bloodlines. They belong to the American people, not to the government, nor its agencies. They helped build our nation with their labor and gave their lives many times over in war to protect the ideals of a free society.
Your continuing crusade to end BLM’s persecution of our horses is greatly appreciated. Please keep pounding on our elected representatives!

NEWS ALERT!!!! This is an email I received yesterday from the BLM. Have they gained a conscience or is Ken Salazar afraid of losing his job? In either case, please read, respond and pass this along to wild horse advocates.  Together we can make a difference.

“Americans are passionate about wild horses and burros, and there are many differ…ent, often conflicting, perspectives about how they should be managed. The BLM is committed to bridging these differences by working closely with our partners, stakeholders, the public and our employees to develop a strategy and find solutions that are best for wild horses and burros, wildlife, and the many other uses of the public lands. Over the next 60 days, we invite our interested stakeholders to offer their opinions and suggestions about the draft goals and objectives, as well as the series of possible management actions.

Please visit www.blm.gov for more information on the Wild Horse and Burro Strategy Development Document.

We value your input and look forward to any suggestions you may have to assist the BLM to improve the Wild Horse and Burro Program. Thank you for your interest and participation in this important effort.”

I have lived in Nevada for ten years.  I have seen the wild mustangs and have witnessed their glory and majestic beauty in the desert and hills.  I appreciate, from the bottom of my heart, your life saving measures on behalf of the freedom of the wild mustangs of

I am disgusted! I cannot believe we are taking the freedom away from the most beautiful creatures! It’s truly sickening…WE NEED TO PUT AN END TO THIS!

I support all your efforts, but every animal that is slaughtered to feed America’s blood-thirst suffers also.  In fact, these horse are at risk simply because cattle for slaughter get priority.  If you’re eating beef, you’re the problem.
Go Vegan and vote Vegan.

I call Obama, my 2 senators and my 2 representatives every morning. Today I called every member of the Enery & Natural Resource Committee. I called the chairman twice,Jeff Bingaman, (202) 224-5521 and Harry Reid. The ROAM Act is stuck in this committee and Senator Bingaman doesn’t seem to be pushing it, neither is Harry Reid. Call both these men and the committee. Tell them to support a moratorium on the roundups and pass S.1579, the ROAM Act.We also need to tell our senators and representatives to support Madeleines Sanctuary for those horses and burro’s already in captivity.
